Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2
Beta 2 is out! You can get a free CD sent to you if you want to test the latest and greatest. The Devs working on this are making some bold claims about the stability about this product. Supposedly it’s good enough to start developing your products with it.
Other items:
I can feel Avalon changing me… - Avalon is going to start to make a lot more developers realize how important it is to separate code from data.
NGen Revs Up Your Performance with Powerful New Features - Describing the new NGen included with .NET 2.0. Looks great!
Tools: Source Control: SourceSafe Bindings Remover - I usually hack up the project files manually to do this. This util should save some grief.
Profilers for the CLR - List of some 3rd party profilers to use since Visual Studio doesn’t come with one out of the box (supposedly that will change with 2005)
TaskSwitchXP Pro 2.0 - I’ve used the MS Task Switcher included in PowerToys, and it’s nothing compared to this one. It’s lightning fast, and *very* customizable just as it should be. I’m ashamed I gave up on these utilities thinking that the MS one would be the best one out there.
Puzzle Time - Image Puzzle! - Some people do well with this type of “find the link” game… I didn’t.
Story Time - Finding The A-team: A Stuffo Experiment. I love the A-Team.
