Googling

Have you checked out Google Satellite yet?
http://maps.google.com - click the satellite button.
I’m hooked. I found the Statue of Liberty, Grand Canyon, Mt Rushmore, Golden Gate Bridge, you name it. It’s like a big scanvenger hunt. I love it.
Then I found Google Sightseeing and they love it too. I’m subscribed. I can’t wait to see all the things they find as well.

As an aside… Google Maps is just awesome from a user-interface point of view. Compare Google Maps with the previous de-facto map program MapQuest. It’s like night and day. If only all web applications had this sort of instant feedback instead of re-loading the page after every click.

Foxtrot Series for Google Satellite - 18th 19th 20th 23rd

City Data - To find out more stuff about the places you are looking, check out this statistics site. Fun stuff. It’s like reading an almanac… hmm.

Game Time - Guess-the-google - More fun with Google. I was surprised, I actually got some of these right.
