“The days of the command line operating system are over!” is what I like to tell people who tell me to run *nix. Truthfully though, I spend a fair amount of time staring at the c:> prompt (I grew up on the thing after all… old habits are hard to kick).
Working with the new generation of command prompts (Windows XP and higher) is almost the same as the Dos days, but there are some differences. Here’s some links to command line tips and tricks provided by one of the MS bloggers:
